CROSSROADS CHARTER ACADEMY
Crossroads Charter Academy offers three distinct Independent Study options for students and parents.

OPTION I: Armona Learning Center (for K-8)
This program is for students in the Kindergarten through Eighth grade I.S. program who are looking for an alternative to the traditional Independent Study model. In this option, CROSSROADS Charter Academy has established a learning center in Armona (Hood and 14th Street) which is staffed with a certificated teacher to provide on-going academic assistance to I.S. students and their parents. Parents and students can utilize the center as a “drop-in” site in which to study, receive assistance or do research. Enrollment at the Armona Center is limited. Students must meet with their teacher at least once a week at the center. Daily sessions are available as follows:

Monday – Friday: 8:30 Am – 3:30 PM

OPTION II: Hanford Learning Center (for K-12)
This program is for students in the Kindergarten through 12th grade I.S. program who are looking for an alternative to the traditional Independent Study model. In this option, CROSSROADS Charter Academy has established a learning center in Hanford (10th and Grangeville) which is staffed with a certificated teacher to provide on-going academic assistance to I.S. students and their parents. Parents and students can utilize the center as a “drop-in” site in which to study, receive academic assistance or do research. Students must meet at least once a week with their teacher at the center. Daily sessions are available as follows:

Monday- Tuesday- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday- Friday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

OPTION III: Traditional Independent Study (for K-12)
This program is for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade that desire a traditional Independent Study experience. Students will be assigned a certificated teacher who will be responsible for the assignment of all lessons and activities. Students will complete their assignments at home and must meet with their teacher al least once per week to review work and progress towards grade level standards.
